SMA Publishes Preliminary Figures for the First Half of 2025
Niestetal, July 21, 2025 – Based on preliminary figures, SMA Solar Technology AG (SMA/ISIN: DE000A0DJ6J9/FSE: S92) expects sales of €684.9 million in the first half of 2025 (H1 2024: €759.3 million), earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of €9.1 million (H1: 2024: €80.6 million) and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of €–19.0 million (H1: 2024: €56.2 million).
This means that the preliminary EBITDA of €–15.5 million for the second quarter of 2025 and the preliminary EBIT of €–30.4 million are below the consensus (Q2 2025 EBITDA: €–4.0 million; EBIT: €–19.0 million).
The deviation is mainly due to impairment charges on inventories (€46.8 million) in the Home & Business Solutions division.
According to preliminary figures, EBITDA excluding one-off effects in the second quarter was slightly above the previous year's level at €31.3 million (Q2 2024: €30.6 million).
Further details will be explained in the half-year report 2025, which is scheduled to be published on August 7, 2025.
