Eiffage wins a second contract for the construction of
urban racing circuit infrastructure in Madrid, Spain


Eiffage, through its Spanish subsidiary Eiffage Construcción, is poised to begin extension
works of Pavilions 1 and 2 at the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre, designed to accommodate
Madrid’s new urban racing circuit. The contract is worth a total of €68 million.

This design-build contract covers the construction of two new buildings to extend the existing
pavilions, and the installation of temporary structures to house the stands, logistics area and
VIP areas during the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix.

After the race, the temporary installations will be dismantled, and the extended pavilions will
become permanent additions to the exhibition centre.

These pavilions, each three stories and 17 metres high, will meet all the requirements of the
FIA and Formula One Management. Ground level will house the team containers and garages,
along with technical and service areas with differentiated access for personnel and logistics.
During the Grand Prix, the upper floors will accommodate the VIP Paddock Club and reception
area with panoramic terraces, plus catering and reception services for guests.

Temporary extensions will also be built for offices, the timekeeping centre, and the
competition’s control and logistics areas.

The environmental management plan includes a calculation of the project’s carbon footprint in
order to optimise processes, materials and suppliers while prioritising local and low-emissions
solutions and the use of sustainable materials such as low-carbon concrete, recycled steel and
FSC/PEFC-certified timber.

This new contract highlights IFEMA Madrid’s trust in the Eiffage group, which had already been
awarded last April, in consortium, the contract for the design and construction of the new
Formula 1 urban circuit in Madrid in a deal worth €83.2 million. .
